We know and appreciate how passionate Calgarians are about the vulnerable population in Calgary. More than ever, we and all homeless-serving agencies will need the community’s support to protect our city’s most vulnerable people during this pandemic.
Here are some low-risk ways you can still support the Calgary Drop-In Centre.
We urgently need the support of health care professionals – and we extend our gratitude to those who are currently working with us. If you are a health care professional who can help us with secondary screening and observing our isolation space, please contact us. We will send you our schedule for sign-up. Thank you!
We are in critical need for PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) materials such as disposable gloves, protective eyewear, protective masks (including N95 masks), wrist bands, in addition to other sanitary products such as crisis-grade hand sanitizer. PPE is an essential component to help our staff and Calgary’s most vulnerable stay protected. If you have access to PPE or know of a connection that would help, please click below to reach out to the DI.
During extraordinary times like these, we need extra help to continue to be more than emergency shelter. We are still hiring additional staff to make sure we continue to provide the most we can for Calgary’s most vulnerable. Are you interested in joining the DI family?
Help support unexpected expenses
The Calgary Drop-In Centre is monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19 closely, but is still providing emergency shelter to Calgary’s most vulnerable population. Following the recommend suggestions to #StayHome, a monetary contribution is the best and safest way to ensure support for those who need it most.
Donate goods through Amazon or the Donation Centre
