Today, low-income and homeless Calgarians enjoyed a special lunch at the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre.
For lunch today, we served sausage in a bun and a wonderful potato salad with fresh dill. The dill was grown by DI volunteers in the East Village Community Garden.
Community gardens are worth nurturing. They create new friendships, environmental stewardship, and the enjoyment of a common outdoor pursuit.
Thank you DI volunteers for your gift of time, talent and nutritious and delicious food.
