Mirela is responsible for the development of strategic partnerships and market intelligence in the area of emerging technologies at ENMAX. She brings over 15 years of experience in innovation, technology strategy and portfolio management in the energy industry in Europe and Canada. An active volunteer, Mirela enjoys working with organizations that support the Calgary community: she is currently a vice-president on the board of Green Calgary and has been volunteering with Alberta Children’s Hospital, Calgary Reads, and the YWCA in the past. She holds a Ph.D. in engineering and an MBA from Laval University, and a Master’s Degree in engineering from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. Mirela is married and had one daughter. She spends most of her free time with family, playing in one of the many Calgary playgrounds, traveling, or experimenting in the kitchen and garden.
