Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre Society is pleased to release a musical album: Shelter From the Storm.
Shelter From the Storm is a collaborative song, story and spoken word project, creatively led by Calgary’s first poet laureate Kris Demeanor. The songs were produced by homeless Calgarians and DI staff and volunteers and are about redemption, resilience and love.
“What emerged was something greater than anyone expected,” says Michael Frisby, program manager.
